Our Approach
At Happy Acres Pet Rescue, we believe that every animal deserves a loving home. We work closely with the Decatur Macon County Animal Control & Care Center and other local animal shelters to rescue and care for animals in need.
Surrounded by nature and love, our animals are given a safe and nurturing environment and socialization opportunities to prepare them for their forever homes.
How it All Started
After years of fostering cats and dogs in her home, Michelle Huttes purchased 10 acres and founded Happy Acres Pet Rescue in 2023 so she could pursue her passion of animal rescue on an even larger scale.
We are dedicated to the welfare of all animals, and passionate about finding loving homes for all of the animals in our care.
